Posted by Next Big Tomorrow Games on July 30, 2019 03:00:24 Next Big tomorrow, the developer behind the sci-fi space adventure Battlestar, is taking its Battlestarsgalactica series to the next level with a brand new game system, game mechanics, and a new soundtrack.
Set for release in the autumn of 2020, the game will include new graphics, new game modes, and more, and will feature a brand-new story.
In a recent interview with Digital Trends, Next Big said the new system will allow players to create their own Battlestarisgalacticas.
“The original Battlestartersgalactics had a lot of limitations, and we didn’t have the resources to support it in a lot more detail,” said Chris Stenquist, CEO of Next Big, in an interview with the publication.
“That’s what the new Battlestairsgalactys will do.
It will be able to support more story content, and it will allow you to play a lot with different factions.”
Stenquist said the game’s multiplayer will be a “new game mode” that will allow up to four players to team up in battle, but that the “core” of the game is the campaign mode.
Players will also be able create their characters’ looks, personalities, and abilities, and have the ability to customize their ship, shipbuilding, and combat strategies.
“If you want to take your own character into battle, you can do that in a very easy way,” Stenqvist said.
“The game is about having a lot, but also having a little bit of flexibility, so you can customize it.
You can have a different kind of ship, you know, if you want.
It’s about having that little bit more.”
The BattlestarrsGalactica game will not include any traditional gameplay elements like the traditional multiplayer, Stenquel said.
Players can still play the game online against AI opponents, but Stenquists goal is to “make it easy to play with your friends, because you’ll have to think about the AI a lot.”
Stensquist said the campaign is set in a new universe, and that players will have to travel to a planet called Battlestara to stop the Galactic Empire from taking over the galaxy.
“We’ve done the campaign in a different universe, so we’ve added in new gameplay elements,” he said.
“[We want] to make it as accessible as possible to a wide variety of players, to be able them play it online with their friends.”
Stengs, a veteran game developer who is the creator of the sci fi space adventure Space Station 13, has been working on Battlestarcadia for a decade, but the title has never been released on consoles.
The developer recently teamed up with publisher Electronic Arts to launch Battlestard, which has sold more than 2 million copies and has received numerous awards and nominations.
Next Big Tomorrow has not released a detailed breakdown of the Battlestaresgalactia game system and will be releasing details in the coming months.
