The next generation of BMWs luxury cars may be coming to market this year, but if you’re looking for the cheapest car on the market right now, you may be in for a bit of a wait.
The new i3 sedan has been rumored for a few months, and BMW hasn’t been able to officially confirm the car’s price, so we decided to dig into the numbers to see just how much the i3 is going to cost.
The BMW i5, BMW i6, and all other BMW models in the lineup have been reported to start at $75,000, so the BMW i7, BMW X5, and even the new X5 xDrive have been rumored to start around $80,000.
The price difference between the i7 and X5 makes it difficult to compare prices, but here are the most expensive models in our database to give you an idea of what the i6 can do for your wallet.
The only BMWs top-of-the-line premium car in our list is the M6, which has been said to be priced at $88,000 or more.
That car is also the only BMW model in our lineup that has been priced from $30,000 to $100,000 ($75,400 for the M5).
But, of course, if you were looking for a nice bargain at this price point, you could always look at the likes of the $80k X5 for $55,000 and the $70k X3 for $49,000 (or even more if you opt for the X5xDrive).
In short, it is a difficult choice between the luxury sedan, compact SUV, and crossover options, but the price difference should be worth it for those looking to save some cash.
What about the BMW X6?
We’re guessing that the X6 will be the best bang for the buck of the BMW lineup, because it has been reported that it could start at around $78,000 for a base model and up to $102,000 with the $90,000 Premium Package.
That price difference may seem huge, but we’ll give you a rough estimate based on the BMW’s new i6 sedan and i3 hatchback.
The $87,000 base model will set you back $99,999 ($104,500 for the base model), and the new BMW X4 will start at just $90 in base, $96 in the Premium Package, and $112 in the X4xDrive.
But, don’t let that price stop you from grabbing one of these luxury sedans.
The X6 and X6xDrive can all be had for around $100 more than the base price.
BMW is also offering two new hatchbacks, the X7 and the X8, for $89,999.
They’ll be available for purchase starting this fall.
