Apple announced Tuesday that it’s using Google and Facebook to create an air-monitoring system that uses facial recognition to help alert consumers of pollution in their homes and workplaces.
Air pollution is an important problem for all Americans, especially those living in the Northeast.
Researchers at the University of Minnesota and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology have found that air pollution in the United States causes about 1.5 million premature deaths each year, and a large portion of that death toll is linked to air pollution.
Air monitoring systems are a new way for companies to help consumers protect their health and reduce their exposure to air pollutants.
They are already in use in the U.S., but have not yet become widely available in China.
Air-conditioners emit CO2 and particulate matter that can affect air quality.
The problem with these systems is that they rely on sensors to detect when an air conditioner is being used.
But air-quality experts say they have yet to develop a system that can detect when someone is in an unhealthy environment.
Researchers say a more efficient air-condensing system could save more lives by alerting people to problems that can cause air pollution, such as burning coal or burning oil.
The research team, which includes professors from the University at Buffalo, Northeastern University, and Harvard University, hopes that air monitoring can help people understand the risks associated with air pollution and reduce the risk of premature deaths.
Apple has been working on a smart air conditioning system for years.
In 2016, it debuted a new air-control feature that allowed people to control their devices remotely.
That year, the company also introduced AirPlay, which allows streaming of music, videos, and voice-controlled apps to other Apple devices.
Apple is already working on smart air conditioning systems for cars and for homes.
In 2019, it introduced AirPort Extreme, a $200 smartphone that connects to your home Wi-Fi network to provide remote access to your air conditioners.
In the 2020s, Apple also developed an air monitor for cars.
Called AirWatch, the device detects emissions from a car and alerts you via text or voice to help you reduce the emissions.
Apple says it has also worked on a sensor-based system that would let consumers remotely control their air condition in homes.
It’s still in development.
The company says the AirWatch system uses data from air condition vents to help customers understand the levels of air pollutants in their home.
The system would also monitor air pollution levels for people in their residences and workplaces and alert them when air quality is improving.
Apple plans to release a new version of the Air Watch in 2021.
